Pastor’s Word March ’21

Spring is in the air. Can you feel it? Well, maybe you can’t quite feel it yet, but the promise of Sun, Flowers, and Baseball Season returning have me excited about the near future. I also want to say a big thank you to the entire C4 family who have made my wife and I feel so welcome. From the encouraging notes, to the gifts through the “Preacher Pounding” (I still find that term disturbing). You have been so generous with us and we are forever grateful to you all.

We just wrapped up a series about The Church as God intended for it to be and I hope that it helped you to grow and see the type of body we need to be to fulfill our role in the Great Commission. We are going to be starting a new series called “Dancing With the Scars”. We will spend 4 weeks talking about our hurts and the damage that has been done to us in life. But we will also redirect that pain toward something wonderful and that is the way that the healing has helped to transform us into the people that God has called us to be. How is God using your scars to shape you, to make you a leader
in your family, to affect the world around you. I know this series will be impactful if we are just open to hearing what God has to say in it.

Easter is also not that far away and we are excited to see what God has in store for this time of year. Covid happened right around the time we were ramping up for Easter last year and it had a huge impact on what is normally a joyous time of year in the church. Well, we hope that this year you are preparing to worship with us and to celebrate the powerful, eternal gift of Jesus and his death, burial and resurrection. I can’t wait to see what God does in and through the faithful body here at C4.
Blessings,
Clint

Palm Sunday

On Palm Sunday, Christian worshipers celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, an event that took place the week before the Lord’s death and resurrection.

The people greeted Jesus enthusiastically, waving palm branches and covering his path with palm branches. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heavens!”
(Matthew 21:9, NIV)
